I love red cabbage and it is simply delicious braised. It's so easy; just shred and cook. It is sauteed until slightly browned and then slowly simmered in red wine, balsamic vinegar, and garlic vinegar until tender.
It makes a wonderfully sweet side dish that can accompany beef, pork, fowl, or fish.
