Did you know you could grow loofah sponges?  I was so surprised when my friend gave me one (along with a pretty soap as a gift) and told me that she had grown it.  What?  I didn’t know you could grow these sponges!  The loofah was still in its shell so when I arrived home I carefully peeled the outer layer and there was a perfect loofah.  It was also full of seeds!  They easily shook out into a container.
