I love growing chives because they are delicious and beautiful in the garden.   Garlic chives (A. tuberosum) have flat leaves and white flowers. Onion chives (Coriandrum schoenoprasum) are a grassy herb with onion flavored hollow-leaves and lavender flowers.  They normally bloom in their second year.  They are great on vegetables, eggs, seafood, and in dips.
